In the News - 2023 Scholarship Winners

We are pleased to announce the 2023 winners of the Ozaukee Chorus Scholarships.

The students are from high schools in Ozaukee County.

Their biographies of  each recipient are below.

Brandon Hale is a senior at Port Washington High School. He has participated in the Wisconsin State Solo, Ensemble and Honor Choir for three years earning *1 ratings, Port’s award winning a cappella group Limited Edition and seven high school musicals. Brandon plans on attending UW-La Crosse in the fall and continuing his music and theater education.

 

Robert Danner is a senior at Grafton High School and has participated in the Graftonics a cappella group as a section leader and music arranger. He is also an accomplished pianist, organist and plays tuba in the school Marching Band. Honors include Outstanding Arrangement in the HS Association International Competition.

Robert’s plans include a major in Music Education at UW-Milwaukee.

 

Amelia Eichmeier is a senior at Homestead High School in Mequon and has participated in the school’s Select Treble Choir and the State Honors Choir earning *1 ratings. She has played major roles in musicals as well as solo and ensemble at Homestead.  Amelia has narrowed her college choices to Baldwin Wallace U. and UW-Madison. Both have offered her a spot in their conservatory programs.

 

Katie O’Connor is a senior at Cedarburg High School and has been a member of the Treble Choir, a cappella women’s group Bella Voce and the A Cappella Choir. She has participated in several school musicals in lead roles. State honors include *1 ratings in solo, duet, trio and jazz ensemble competitions. Her college plans include a major in elementary school music education and ensemble and musical participation.

 

Clara Steinert is a senior at Ozaukee High School in Fredonia, has been

a member of the school’s a cappella group for four years and has played major roles in several school musicals. She has qualified for regional

and state competitions for three years and has earned *1 rankings every time. Clara’s plans include Lakeland University in the fall and pursuit of a major in music education.
